The team lead by Bruno Ribeiro, integated by Geiziane, Lucas Jardim, Rafael Loyola and other colleagues from UFG and other institutions won the 2022 GBIF Ebbe Nielsen Challenge prize, for their development of bdc: A toolkit for standardizing, integrating and cleaning biodiversity data.  This prize from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility awards the best applications of open access biodiversity data. The developers of bdc open source R package share the prize ex aequo with the developers of GridDER: Grid Detection and Evaluation in R.
