I was lucky enough so as to spend over 50 minutes talking about the ecology, evolution and conservation of dung beetles with Derrick Jensen. You can listen to this podcast at Resistance Radio, where Derrick Jensen interviews a broad spectrum of activists and scientists building a culture of resistance and defending the wild. The interview is also available at Apple Podcasts, iVoox! and Spotify.

In this second interview with Derrick Jensen for Resistance Radio, we chatted about why is biodiversity distributed the way it is in space and time, one of my main aims of research. We discussed abotu the different hypotheses about the origin of geographic gradients of biodiversity and community dynamics, the interplay of niche and coexistence as determinants of species co-occurrence, and the effects of the evolutionary history of species, glaciations and current climate. But we also discussed about the potential impacts of tipping-points on how biodiversity and ecosystems function.
